Overview
This policy explains what Textoria stores, what it never touches, and what our advertising partners can see. It is written to be read. If any part of it is unclear, email info@textoria.online and we will rephrase it, here and for everyone.
The short version
- Text you enter into any Textoria tool is never uploaded, stored, or logged. All 22 tools run entirely in your browser.
- There are no user accounts or profiles. If you choose to email us, your email contains the information you send.
- Textoria is free and supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, and Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads. This is described in full below.
- We never sell the text you type, your contact details, or a profile built from your drafts. There is no draft data to sell.
- The application stores only essential preferences, such as your theme and ignore lists, in your browser's local storage.
- You can reject personalized advertising without losing access to any tool.
The rest of this page explains each point in enough detail to hold us to it.
How the tools work, and why that decides everything
Most privacy policies for online tools describe what the company does with the text you upload. Ours is short because there is no upload. Every Textoria tool, from the word counter to the plagiarism checker, runs client-side: JavaScript delivered to your browser does the work on your own machine. Paste a contract into the text cleaner and your browser cleans it. Close the tab and the text is gone from the page. At no point does your document travel to a server we control, because there is no code path that sends it anywhere.
You do not have to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, watch the network tab while you paste a document into any tool, and you will see no request carrying your text out. We consider this an architectural fact rather than a policy choice: we cannot misuse text we never receive. Advertising scripts run alongside the tools and have no access to the contents of a tool's text field.
Website requests and hosting
Your browser requests page files, scripts, and stylesheets from the host. Like other web requests, these can reveal your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and access time to the hosting provider. They do not contain text you enter into a tool. The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request logs under its own privacy terms.
Search terms appear in the search-page URL, so avoid putting confidential text into site search. Draft text belongs in a tool's text field, not the search box. Following an email link or using the contact form opens your email application; sending that message is a separate action under your control.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Textoria is free because advertising pays for the hosting. We use Google AdSense to display ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Google may use the DoubleClick cookie or similar identifiers for interest-based advertising. The cookie is associated with your browser, not with the text you type into a tool.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising cookies are set only after you give consent through the consent message provided by Google's consent management platform. You can reject personalized advertising and still use every tool. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the same consent message, which remains reachable from the site.
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
What Google's advertising systems can see is ordinary web-request information: the page you are on, your IP address, your browser and device, and cookie identifiers. They cannot see the text you paste into a tool, because that text never leaves your browser. They do not receive your email correspondence with us.
We do not control the content of third-party ads. If you see an ad that is misleading or inappropriate, report it to us at info@textoria.online and, where available, use the ad's own reporting control.
Cookies and consent
The cookie policy lists the storage Textoria sets itself and the categories of cookies that Google's advertising services may set. In short:
- Textoria's own preferences use local storage, not cookies, and never identify you.
- Google AdSense and its partners may set advertising and measurement cookies, subject to your consent where the law requires it.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking advertising cookies does not break the tools.
What we store on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage for a short list of essentials:
- Your theme preference, so the site opens the way you left it.
- Ignore lists, such as words you have told the spelling checker to stop flagging (your surname, your client's product name).
- Recently used tools, so the ones you use daily stay a click away.
That list is complete. These small values live in your browser, on your device, readable only by this site. They never reach us. Clearing the site's data in your browser settings deletes them, and the cookie policy explains how to do that in each major browser.
Analytics
If Textoria runs analytics, they are privacy-respecting and aggregate: page views counted, rough patterns of which tools get used, enough signal to decide what to improve next. No individual profiling. No cross-site tracking. No combining with any other data set. What you type into a tool cannot appear in analytics, because it never leaves your browser in the first place.
If we enable an analytics provider, this page will disclose the category of provider at or before the time we switch it on.
No accounts
Textoria has no sign-up, no subscription, and no profiles. You are never asked for a name, an email address, or payment details to use a tool. Because we hold no account data, there is no account data to breach, leak, or lose.
What we never do with your text
We do not sell, rent, or share the text you type into a tool, your preferences, or a behavioral profile built from your drafts. Your draft is not sent to us, and no advertising system receives it. Ordinary hosting metadata, advertising cookies, and correspondence you choose to send are different from draft processing and are described separately in this policy.
Children
Textoria's tools are general-audience. Students, teachers, writers, developers, and office workers can use them without identifying themselves or uploading a document. Younger visitors should browse with a parent's or guardian's awareness and should not include personal information in site searches or contact messages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Normal hosting requests and advertising cookies can still carry the metadata described above.
Third parties
The third parties that may receive data through this site are:
- Google AdSense and its advertising partners, for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention, as described above.
- Vercel, our hosting provider, for serving pages and standard security logs.
- Your email provider, if you choose to email us or use a contact link.
Textoria loads no social media widgets, no embedded video players, and no other third-party trackers. When you follow an external link away from Textoria, the destination site operates under its own policies, and this one no longer protects you.
How long data is kept
Preferences stored in your browser persist until you remove them. Clear the site's data, or your browser data generally, and they are gone for good; there is no server-side copy to restore, because there is no server-side copy at all. Text you enter into a tool exists only in the open page and disappears when you navigate away. If you email us at info@textoria.online, your message lives in our email inbox like any other correspondence: handled confidentially, kept only as long as it takes to answer you and act on what it says. Advertising cookies are retained according to Google's own retention periods and your browser settings.
Your rights
Your rights depend on where you live and what information is held.
- Access and deletion. We cannot retrieve drafts from the tool application because it never uploads them. You can inspect or remove local preferences in your browser or use the site's “Clear preferences” button.
- Advertising choices. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info, and you can reject advertising cookies in your browser or through the consent message where one is shown.
- GDPR and UK GDPR. Where those laws apply, we rely on legitimate interests for basic hosting and on consent for advertising cookies where consent is required. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data we hold, and to withdraw consent at any time. We hold very little: correspondence you send us and standard hosting logs.
- CCPA and CPRA. We do not sell the text you type or your contact details. Like most ad-supported sites, we allow Google to use cookies for advertising and measurement, which may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out using the links above or by rejecting advertising cookies.
To exercise a right, email info@textoria.online. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
What this policy does not cover
Three things sit outside it. Emails you choose to send us, which are ordinary correspondence handled as described above. External sites you reach by following links from Textoria, which operate under their own policies. And anything your browser extensions do, which we can neither see nor control; a privacy-hostile extension can observe every site you visit, including this one, and no website's policy can reach into that.
Changes to this policy
If our practices ever change, for instance if we switch analytics providers or add a new advertising partner, this page is updated first and the "Last updated" line at the top changes with it. Significant changes get a note in plain language near the top of the page for a reasonable period afterward.
